Maria R. Berglund is a bilingual, registered dietitian with a B.S.in Biochemical Engineering and Food Services Management from the Monterrey Institute of Technology, Sonora Campus in Mexico, and graduated from Texas Woman’s University-Houston Campus with a Masters Degree in Nutrition.

Maria has over 22+ years of experience in coordination of research programs, nutrition counseling for bariatric and medical weight loss, & community health promotion.  She has lectured widely on various nutrition topics including cancer prevention and health promotion, and intuitive, mindful, & healthy eating. Maria has a strong passion for nutrition education and works hard to provide patients with the best experience to help them strive towards their personal goals and healthy living.

Maria is an active contributor in the nutrition community and belongs to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Formerly known as American Dietetic Association), and the Texas Dietetic Association (TDA).  She is also a Yoga and Pilates Instructor, and she’s certified as Community Health Worker in the state of Texas, and has a certificate in adult weight management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
