Rachel Griehs has been a registered dietitian since 2000. She developed a special interest in weight loss surgery when working on the inpatient floor where patients were hospitalized after having their surgery. She has spent most of her career working in the field of weight management and bariatric surgery. She enjoys establishing and continuing the relationship she has developed with so many patients before and after their surgeries. “It is so rewarding to see the changes in quality of life and improvement of health that happens throughout their journey.”

Rachel received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and Food Management/Dietetics from The Ohio State University and her Master’s Degree from New York University while completing her dietetic internship at the Bronx Veteran’s Affair Medical Center in Bronx, NY. She grew up in the Philadelphia, PA area but now resides in Houston, TX.
