Maria R. Berglund is a bilingual registered dietitian with more than 24 years of experience spanning bariatric nutrition, medical weight loss, research program coordination, and community health promotion. She brings a deep passion for nutrition education and patient empowerment to every interaction.

Maria earned her master’s degree in nutrition from Texas Woman’s University and holds a unique undergraduate background in biochemical engineering and food services management, allowing her to blend scientific insight with practical, real-world nutrition guidance. She has lectured widely on topics including cancer prevention, health promotion, and mindful and intuitive eating.

Known for her compassionate and encouraging approach, Maria is committed to helping patients feel informed, supported, and confident as they work toward their personal health goals. In addition to her clinical work, she is a certified community health worker and a Yoga and Pilates instructor, reinforcing her whole-person approach to health and wellness.
