Registered Dietitian Qualifications

All dietitians at Bariatric Dietitian Services meet national education, training, and credentialing standards.

A Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) is a food and nutrition expert who has:

Earned a bachelor’s degree with coursework approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Completed an accredited supervised practice program in a healthcare, community, or foodservice setting
Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
Completed ongoing continuing professional education to maintain registration

These qualifications ensure patients receive care that is science-based, ethical, and aligned with national standards.
