Registered Dietitian – Bariatric Dietitian Services

Monica Restrepo is a registered dietitian with a strong foundation in biological sciences and clinical research, combined with a passion for helping patients improve their health through evidence-based nutrition care. After several years working in basic science research at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and MD Anderson Cancer Center, Monica discovered her true calling in patient-centered nutrition counseling.

She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2016 and has since focused her clinical work on bariatric surgery nutrition and weight management. Monica considers it a privilege to walk alongside patients through their bariatric journeys—helping them prepare for surgery, navigate recovery, and achieve meaningful improvements in health, confidence, and quality of life.

Outside of work, Monica enjoys spending time with her family, baking, being outdoors, and traveling—especially when it includes scuba diving in the ocean.
